GESS Global Education Forum Professional Development Stream Two, Early Years Session

Good morning, dear numbers! - Early mathematics education for children between two and a half and six years of age
Presenter: Prof. Gerhard Preiss, Germany

Professor Preiss?s programmes for early mathematics education help young children (2 years and older) to learn about numbers in a hands-on and fun way, and help them to build up knowledge about the world around them. The innovative approach to early childhood education used in these programmes combines ideas from mathematics education with concepts from modern neurological research. This ?neurodidactical? approach centres on the child and his or her individual development.
